Admission Policy

  • Admissions are open twice a year, during the spring and fall semesters.
  • Applicants must fulfill the minimum academic requirements set by the
  • Higher Education Commission (HEC) and meet any specific criteria for their chosen program.
  • The selection process involves assessment tests, interviews, and merit-based evaluation.
  • Candidates are required to submit original academic records and verification certificates.
  • Final admission is contingent upon seat availability and the successful verification of all submitted information.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For most Undergraduate Programs: Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate (HSSC) or equivalent
  • For BS Nursing: FSc Pre-Medical with at least 50% marks in intermediate, in line with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) requirements
  • Additional eligibility for specific programs may apply (see relevant departments)
  • Must appear in Al-Kawthar University Placement Test (UPT) and interview

Guidelines For Overseas Students

No Objection Certificate (NOC) For Foreign Students

Foreign students applying to Al-Kawthar University are required to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan for admission and student visa processing. This is done in coordination with the Ministry of Interior.

Admission Weightage Criteria

  • Al-Kawthar University Entry Test (UPT) = 60%
  • HSSC/Equivalent Qualification = 25%
  • SSC/Matric or Equivalent = 15%
  • Minimum Aggregate for Admission = 50%

Transfer & Migration Policy

Transfer applications are accepted from HEC-recognized institutions

Students provide:

  • Academic Transcripts
  • Course Outlines/Syllabus
  • NOC from Previous University Transfers subject to departmental review and seat availability

Students must have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00

Migration is not allowed in the final year or semester
