Welcome to the Center for Jurisprudence & Islamic Socio-Financial Systems (CJISFS) at Al-Kawthar University.

The Center for Jurisprudence & Islamic Socio-Financial Systems (CJISFS) has been established as a specialized academic and policy platform dedicated to advancing Islamic jurisprudence and socio-financial systems. The Center integrates classical Islamic commercial law with contemporary financial practices, governance frameworks, and technological innovation. Through research, education, and strategic partnerships, CJISFS aspires to become a nationally and internationally recognized Center of Excellence aligned with HEC standards and global best practices.

Guided by the core values of Al-Kawthar University — Integrity and Accountability, Excellence (Ihsan), Ethical Leadership, Inclusive Community, Innovation, and Service to Humanity — CJISFS promotes ethical scholarship and socially responsible financial solutions.

The scope of the Center includes Islamic Commercial Jurisprudence (Fiqh al-Mu‘amalat); Islamic Social Finance (Zakat, Waqf, Sadaqah, Qard Hasan); Islamic Banking and Finance; governance and regulatory frameworks; fintech and digital transformation; comparative socio-financial systems; and policy research aligned with national and global development priorities.

At the national level, CJISFS will support government bodies, regulators, financial institutions, and NGOs through research, policy advice, and capacity building. Internationally, it will collaborate with universities, research institutes, and standard-setting organizations to contribute to global discourse on Islamic social finance and ethical economic systems.

Aligned with the SDGs, CJISFS will contribute to poverty alleviation, ethical finance, financial inclusion, institutional strengthening, and development partnerships. Its impact will be measured through evidence-based policy outputs, scalable Islamic social finance models, capacity building, improved governance, and contributions to inclusive and sustainable development.
